Daisy and I enjoyed a beautiful break outside this morning, relaxing in cooler temperatures, and she in her signature position on her own lounger.
The pose below is known in our house as the ‘The Sphinx,’ or sometimes ‘Chicken Legs.’ To my daughter’s young ESL students in S. Korea, Daisy is known as the ‘Hotdog Dog’ accompanied by much giggling and merriment. She certainly has her own personality!
Hey there! This is kind of off topic but I need some advice from an established blog.
Is it hard to set up your own blog? I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty fast. I’m thinking about making my own but
I’m not sure where to start. Do you have any points or suggestions? Appreciate it
Hi Marla,
Your post fell into my spam, but I have to say I’m intrigued by your product! I’ve never heard of a ‘wendy house,’ but after researching on Google I find it’s a method of construction in South Africa. Beleive it or not, I’ve studied architecture and am fascinated by local building methods….and my name is Wendy…
About starting your own blog. First, there are some excellent free blog services, which for me is very good. Second, they are very easy to start. You will need to find a service provider (examples – http://www.Wordpress.com; http://www.Blogger.com). Sometimes your website host will provide you with free space for a blog. Once you register with a blog provider, you’ll need to choose a theme from their free templates, or pay a small fee for a fancier one. They should then point you towards your ‘dashboard’ – where you’ll write and post your blog entrees.
Pointers for content – post often, write about what you know (if it’s to be related to your website, you’ve got plenty of interesting stuff like methods of contruct, materials used, being a method local to South Africa, projects you’ve completed, etc. Images related to what you write about attract more attention than just words, and changing images with each post is important. People will keep coming back, or ‘following’ your blog to see what’s new.
This is a very short descritpion of getting started – but hopefully it will help you. With your topic you could have a very interesting online presence! Let me know how it works out for you, Wendy
